Mountainside Yoga Returns to Lee Canyon with a Refreshing Outdoor Flow for Summer 2026

I attended the return of Lee Canyon’s Mountainside Yoga on Sunday, May 10 at 10 a.m., and it delivered exactly the kind of peaceful, grounding experience you’d hope for as the mountain transitions into summer.

Set in the Aspen Grove at the Bristlecone base area of Lee Canyon, the class immediately stood out for its setting. Practicing outdoors surrounded by fresh alpine air and tall trees adds a completely different dimension to a vinyasa flow. The one-hour all-levels class felt approachable whether you were new to yoga or already experienced, with instructor Ashley-Marie Olgado, RYT-500, offering clear, steady guidance throughout.

What made the session especially memorable was how naturally the environment became part of the practice. Instead of being inside four walls, every breath and movement felt connected to the openness of the mountains. It wasn’t just exercise—it felt like a reset. The advice to bring a mat, water, and sun protection definitely matters, since you’re fully exposed to the elements, but that’s also part of what makes it feel so real and refreshing.

With the program continuing weekly and expanding to Friday and Sunday mornings starting in June ($10–$15 depending on the day, with advance registration recommended since spots fill quickly), it’s shaping up to be one of the more unique wellness offerings in the Las Vegas area.

Beyond yoga, the broader summer season at Lee Canyon includes scenic rides, biking, and events, but Mountainside Yoga already stands out as one of the simplest and most rewarding ways to experience the mountain early in the day.
