Lee Canyon’s 9th Annual Feel Good Fridays Fundraiser Returns

Friday, March 7

Every Friday in March, Lee Canyon will host Feel Good Fridays, a fundraising initiative in which $5 from every $25 daily lift ticket sold benefits the High Fives Foundation, a nonprofit that helps individuals with life-altering injuries access adaptive outdoor sports. Feel Good Fridays will also feature music on the Sky Deck at the Bristlecone Bar and giveaways for skiers and snowboarders.

Since launching in 2017, Feel Good Fridays at Lee Canyon has raised more than $100,000 for the High Fives Foundation, supporting its work with over 900 individuals, including 219 military veterans and Las Vegas locals like Shelby Estocado. Estocado, a Bishop Gorman graduate and former NCAA athlete, sustained a T-6 spinal cord injury in 2020 while snowboarding at Lee Canyon. The resort immediately connected her with High Fives, supporting her journey. Today, Estocado is training to compete in the 2026 Winter Paralympics as a para-alpine skier in the sit-ski category.

On Friday, March 28, High Fives Foundation founder Roy Tuscany and High Fives’ team of adaptive skiing athletes will join Lee Canyon for a celebratory day on the mountain. Lift tickets are available for advance purchase at www.leecanyonlv.com.

“Feel Good Fridays is one of Lee Canyon’s most meaningful traditions because it combines our love for the mountains with giving back to the community,” said Josh Reid, Lee Canyon’s regional marketing director. “By coming up and skiing and snowboarding, Las Vegas is helping people reclaim their passion for outdoor sports. It’s inspiring to see this partnership’s positive impact on adaptive athletes.”

Tuscany, a former competitive skier, founded High Fives after sustaining a T-17 vertebra burst in a skiing accident that left him paralyzed. Told he’d never walk again, Tuscany returned to the slopes thanks to months of aggressive physical therapy and the support of a dedicated community.

“Feel Good Fridays is a perfect example of how partnerships can create lasting change,” said Roy Tuscany, Founder and CEO of the High Fives Foundation. “By teaming up with Lee Canyon, we’re not only supporting adaptive athletes like Shelby Estocado in reclaiming their passion for the slopes, but we’re also building a stronger future for adaptive winter sports in Las Vegas. Together, we’re showing that the mountains are for everyone, and I’m excited about the possibilities for expanding these opportunities in this incredible community.”

Lee Canyon’s daily winter operating hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.leecanyonlv.com
