FEATURING WINES FROM TUSCANY’S CAPANNA VINEYARDS
Ferraro’s Ristorante invites guests to experience its next Taste & Learn on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. with wines from Tuscany’s Capanna vineyards. Taste & Learn is Ferraro’s popular, monthly wine-tasting event that provides illuminating wine education along with a menu of imaginative, authentic Italian small plates created by Ferraro’s executive chef Mimmo Ferraro.
Hailing from the esteemed vineyards of Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy, Capanna represents the pinnacle of traditional winemaking. Established in 1957, the estate is a family-owned operation renowned for its dedication to crafting high-quality Brunello di Montalcino. The vineyards, nestled on the northern slopes of Montalcino, benefit from a unique microclimate and rich soils, which impart exceptional depth and complexity to the wines.
Taste & Learn attendees will begin the experience with the SanGioBi, a crisp white wine featuring a bouquet of fruity notes and a slightly acidic freshness. Second on the menu is the Rosso del Cerro, a ruby red wine pairing perfectly with flavorful and rich pasta dishes. Next is the Nicco Brunello di Montalcino, a grand red wine revealing complex aromas of rich red fruits. Lastly, guests will conclude the tasting with Moscadello di Montalcino, a golden Moscato with a sweet and well-balanced taste.

On Thursday, Aug. 15 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., men’s lifestyle magazine FHM and Babes in Toyland will join forces to kick off Las Vegas Swim Week at AZILO Ultra Pool. Attendees will be treated to a performance by Black Tape Project, where world-famous artist Drakhan Blackhart’s visionary live taping on to models will unfold on stage. Major Food Group, the luxury hospitality company founded by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick has officially opened the first Parm Famous Italian outside of the East Coast.
Now open at Proper Eats Food Hall inside ARIA Resort & Casino, Parm is welcoming guests daily starting at 11 a.m.
Joining the illustrious lineup of Major Food Group’s acclaimed restaurants in Las Vegas, including the globally celebrated CARBONE at ARIA and beloved Sadelle’s at Bellagio, Parm brings classic Italian-American soul food to the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.
While Carbone at the Aria is among the hardest reservations to nab in Las Vegas, Parm serves up Italian-American comfort classics that chefs Carbone and Torrisi grew up with and it’s located just down the hall from its powerhouse predecessor. Some of the most popular dishes include, the Chicken Parm Sandwich, slathered in melted cheese between seeded Italian bread, Rotini in spicy vodka sauce, an Italian sandwich with five meats, spicy sauce, and Italian dressing, and homemade meatballs.
