NRL HOSTS 2025 VEGAS TALENT COMBINE, FEB. 28 – MARCH 1

50 Elite Athletes will Compete for an Opportunity of a Lifetime

The National Rugby League (NRL) will bring the NRL Talent Combine to Las Vegas on Friday, Feb. 28 through Saturday, March 1. This combine will offer the top North American athletes an opportunity to showcase their skills and earn a chance to train with professional rugby league teams in Australia.

The NRL Talent Combine will feature 25 men and 25 women athletes from across the U.S. competing in a scouting showcase to potentially earn a professional contract in the NRL or NRLW. Participants will undergo a series of speed, agility, strength and skill-based tests, each designed to assess their suitability for professional rugby league.

“The NRL Talent Combine is a game-changing initiative that will provide the best U.S. athletes with a pathway into professional rugby league,” stated NRL CEO Andrew Abdo. “This program is not just about identifying talent; it’s about creating opportunities and building the future of rugby league on a global scale.”

The NRL has partnered with the UFC Performance Institute to ensure that athletes receive world-class testing and high-performance training throughout the two-day event. Following the combine, four standout athletes who have met the performance standards will be invited to Australia for up to two weeks of training with a professional team. The NRL will cover all travel and accommodation costs for the selected athletes.

The NRL Combine will take place on Friday, Feb. 28, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Silver Bowl Park, featuring match simulation testing, and on Saturday, March 1, from 8 a.m. to noon at the UFC Performance Institute, focusing on performance testing.
