Finally, a smart, funny, human revival about the highs and lows of life.
Winner of 5 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical, COMPANY “strikes like a lightning bolt. Helmed by three-time Tony Award-winning director Marianne Elliott (War Horse, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Angels in America), this revelatory new production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s groundbreaking musical comedy is boldly sophisticated, deeply insightful and downright hilarious.
What’s The Story?
Bobbi (traditionally Robert up till now) is celebrating her 35th birthday in the company of her friends, all of whom are either married or engaged. Through a series of visits with the couples we learn that the well-liked Bobbi has trouble with commitment as evidenced in her numerous affairs, but still hopes to find the right person for her. As each group has its say on Bobbi’s singledom and marriage prospects (and state of their own), Company begins to question the old adage; is the grass really greener on the other side?
