Cult Classic Set to “Time Warp” Into the Future with Groundbreaking Sphere Experience Opening in 2027
Sphere Entertainment has announced that the next major cinematic experience coming to Sphere Las Vegas will be an immersive adaptation of the legendary cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, scheduled to debut in 2027. The production will join Sphere’s growing lineup of original immersive experiences, including Postcard from Earth and The Wizard of Oz at Sphere.
Originally released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show became a global cultural phenomenon, celebrated for its unique audience participation, unforgettable music, and devoted fan community. The new Sphere production will utilize Sphere Studios’ advanced technologies to enhance the beloved film while preserving the spirit that has captivated audiences for more than five decades.

The announcement follows the tremendous success of The Wizard of Oz at Sphere, which has attracted millions of visitors and demonstrated the venue’s ability to transform classic films into next-generation entertainment experiences. Sphere’s state-of-the-art technology, including its 16K wraparound display, immersive sound system, haptic seating, and environmental effects, has established a new standard for cinematic storytelling.
Fans can expect a reimagined journey through the iconic world of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Brad, Janet, and the unforgettable residents of the castle, brought to life on Sphere’s unparalleled canvas. While specific production details remain under wraps, anticipation is already building among both longtime “Rocky Horror” devotees and visitors eager to experience the cult favorite in an entirely new way.
